Cameron Mitchell, CFA, MBA is a senior finance executive with more than 20 years of experience leading mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, capital raising, and corporate finance advisory across mid-market private companies and listed issuers. His background spans equity research, private equity-backed CFO leadership, KPMG-led valuation engagements, and direct execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A mandates, giving him a rare, full-cycle view of a transaction from analysis through close.
Over his career, Cameron has closed and supported transactions totaling more than $430 million in equity, debt, and M&A value across the energy, telecom, industrial, and consumer e-commerce sectors. He combines disciplined financial modeling with a deep professional network across investment banking, private equity, accounting, legal, and family office channels.
Cameron currently serves as Fractional Chief Financial Officer of Signature Holdings Inc., an SEC-registered acquisition vehicle pursuing a roll-up of e-commerce health & wellness businesses and targeting a U.S. stock exchange listing in 2026. He leads financial diligence, target valuation, and deal structuring across the company's M&A pipeline and prepares the integrated financial models and investor materials supporting the planned listing.
From 2019 to 2025, Cameron served as Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Fiber Optics Corp., a private equity-controlled fiber-to-the-premise telecom operator in Western Canada. He executed and closed financings totaling more than $235 million, including $110 million of equity and $85 million of debt, directed deployment of approximately $100 million of capital across 23 build projects, and led a 14-person finance, IT, and HR team through the implementation of an integrated NetSuite, Anaplan, and ETI financial infrastructure.
His transaction experience includes structuring and executing a six-way merger of owner-operated secure records storage businesses and leading its $80 million sale to a U.S. private equity-backed buyer; equity capital raises for Advancing Chemistry Inc. and Core Linepipe Inc.; valuation work supporting CNOOC Ltd.'s acquisition of Nexen Inc. and a $250 million cross-border natural gas asset acquisition while at KPMG; and, as a founding management team member of Flexpipe Systems Inc., building the strategic plan behind a $4 million venture capital raise that led to the company's $170 million acquisition by ShawCor.
Cameron holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Urban Planning & Economic Development from the University of Regina.
